The RTL8367M-GR is a low-power-consumption Ethernet switch, and was the first Gigabit Ethernet switch chip to implement the power-saving IEEE 802.3az standard (Energy Efficient Ethernet: EEE). EEE defines a mechanism that allows individual RTL8367M-GR ports to enter a low power idle state. In this state, unnecessary TX/RX circuitry is turned off to reduce power consumption and provide a more energy efficient Ethernet. The RTL8367M-GR also supports IGMP v1/v2/v3, VLAN translation, double VLAN tagging, ACL, loop detection/prevention, and includes a built-in MCU. It offers advanced Quality of Service and Network management functions.
