2-LUN USB3.2 Card Reader Controller

General Description

The RTS5350-VB is a 2-LUN USB3.2 card reader controller that integrates a USB transceiver, regulators, memory card access units, MCU, and SIE into a single chip. It provides up to 2 LUNs (Logic Unit Numbers) that can support Secure Digital or eMMC. The RTS5350-VB supports Secure Digital TM (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity TM (SDHC), Secure Digital eXtended Capacity TM (SDXC), and Secure Digital Ultra Capacity TM (SDUC), or eMMC.

The LUN 0 supports SD UHS-I (Ultra High Speed-I) and DDR200 mode. The LUN 1 supports SD UHS-I (Ultra High Speed-I) and DDR200 mode, or eMMC up to HS400 mode.

The RTS5350-VB integrates 3.3V-to-1.8V and 3.3V-to-1.2V regulators and a MOSFET for the card power switch, which can dramatically reduce the system BOM cost.

The RTS5350 supports both the internal ROM and the external Serial Flash Interface. With the external Serial Flash Interface, firmware can be easily reconfigured through the USB link. The RTS5350-VB also supports ECDSA, SHA-256, CRC checksum, and dual bank in order to provide a robust firmware update mechanism.

The RTS5350-VB  fully supports the latest platform requirements for the card reader application. The RTS5350-VB also supports LTM (Latency Tolerance Messaging), selective suspend function for power saving, and Modern Standby.
