HSINCHU, Taiwan – September 17, 2025 – Realtek Semiconductor will be exhibiting at the China International Industry Fair (CIIF 2025), taking place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from September 23 to 27, 2025. Realtek’s booth will be located at 5.2H-D001.
At this year’s event, Realtek will present its latest innovations with a strong focus on robotics applications and automotive Ethernet solutions. The robotics portfolio will showcase key technologies, including high-efficiency Ethernet networking, advanced wireless Wi-Fi connectivity, and seamless USB peripheral integration, underscoring Realtek’s commitment to driving next-generation industrial and automotive advancements.
High-Efficiency Ethernet Transmission Solution for Robotics
Realtek's standard Ethernet solution helps offload the heavy computing workload from the main CPU, effectively reducing the computational burden of motion control and thereby enhancing the overall operational efficiency and stability of robotic systems. The solution supports dual-port controller transmission at speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps and central switching for 4, 8, 16, or 24 ports. Downlink speeds range from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps for connecting multiple controllers, while uplink speeds support 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps for connecting to the robot’s central neural network. This ensures high-speed and stable data transmission even under multi-sensor coordination or high computational loads, maintaining low latency to enable millisecond-level mechanical response and precise joint control. This ultimately improves robotic operational efficiency and user experience.
In addition, Realtek’s single-pair Ethernet solution has already demonstrated impressive results in the automotive market, making it an ideal candidate for extension into robotic applications. Automotive-grade single-pair Ethernet offers advantages such as space-saving, lightweight design, and support for higher transmission capabilities. The single-pair Ethernet solution integrates the 100/1000BASE-T1 physical layer with EtherCAT or Ethernet protocols, effectively reducing cable weight and installation space while delivering higher data transmission performance and enhanced noise immunity, ensuring stable connectivity even in harsh environments.
Furthermore, Realtek also offers a SerDes solution for ultra-high-speed image transmission. The ASA-ML technology delivers performance on par with existing proprietary SerDes chips, incorporates data security mechanisms, and supports timestamp functionality to meet the high-precision requirements of robotics.
Comprehensive Wi-Fi Portfolio for Robotics
Realtek offers a comprehensive portfolio of Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 7 wireless solutions to address diverse bandwidth and performance requirements. Wi-Fi 5 provides stable and cost-effective connectivity, while Wi-Fi 6 delivers superior data transmission efficiency and supports multiple device connections, further enhanced by eFEM front-end modules for improved signal strength and noise reduction. Wi-Fi 7 enables advanced applications with higher bandwidth and ultra-low latency.
The RTL8852B ensures reliable Wi-Fi roaming and optimized throughput and can be seamlessly integrated with robotic control platforms. It also supports tri-protocol integration of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee/Thread, combining high-speed data transmission with short-range device interaction. This allows robots to maintain stable, low-power connectivity with surrounding IoT devices, enhancing both operational efficiency and user experience.
Realtek’s ultra-compact wireless router can be connected to a host IC or switch via an Ethernet interface, enabling rapid wireless network deployment and supporting multi-robot collaborative operations with high flexibility and versatile networking capabilities. In scenarios where no external Wi-Fi router is available—such as outdoor environments—the robots can autonomously establish a wireless network, allowing operators (e.g., mobile users) to connect directly and receive first-person-view video streams or other sensor data in real time, thereby enabling effective remote monitoring and control.
USB Peripheral Application Solution
Realtek’s USB peripheral application solutions include multi-port USB hub controllers, USB PD Type-C controllers, and card reader controllers. The multi-port USB hub controller supports up to four downstream ports, allowing simultaneous connection of devices such as keyboards, mice, and USB drives, and enables data transfer with the robot’s main CPU via USB. The USB PD Type-C controller integrates fast charging, data, and video transmission, supporting USB 3.0 for high-speed transfer of images and multi-sensor data. The card reader controller is designed for real-time transmission in scenarios such as robotic vision detection, video recording, and sentry mode. Recorded data is written directly to a memory card and can later be accessed via the USB interface, offering a more cost-effective alternative to SSD (solid-state drives).
Automotive Ethernet Solutions
Realtek’s automotive Ethernet Condor Mini series is designed for high-speed network architectures in smart cockpits, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and central gateways. It is the industry's first product to integrate six 1000BASE-T1 PHY ports and is also the first to be designed with ASIL-D functional safety as a core objective, combining high performance with robust safety. The automotive Ethernet Toucan series targets key in-vehicle network nodes such as zonal controllers and central gateways. It features two integrated 1000BASE-T1 PHY ports and supports both BGA and LQFP packages. The series has already been adopted and mass-produced by several major international automotive manufacturers, offering high maturity and strong compatibility. The automotive Ethernet Crane series addresses high-speed data applications such as central gateways, 5G communication controllers, and LiDAR systems. It offers the industry’s smallest 2.5GBASE-T1 PHY and introduces the first co-layout design compatible with 1000BASE-T1 and 100BASE-T1 PHYs, providing greater flexibility for system upgrades.
Through its high-performance Ethernet networking, flexible and reliable Wi-Fi solutions, and highly integrated USB peripherals, Realtek delivers the essential technologies required for high-speed data transfer, multi-task collaboration, and real-time control in today’s robotic applications, empowering the development of efficient and stable robotic systems.
