Realtek Focuses on the Latest Network Communication Solutions for AIoT, Bluetooth, and Smart Routers at the 2025 AWE Expo

Realtek Semiconductor is participating in the 2025 AWE Expo, held from March 20 to 23, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, booth number 3F61. This year’s AWE, themed “AI Technology · AI Life,” focuses on the latest applications of artificial intelligence in home appliances and consumer electronics. Realtek will showcase its latest developments in network communication solutions, including AIoT, Bluetooth, and smart routers, providing innovative technological support for smart homes and modern living.

AI Video Solution
With the rapid advancement of AI technology, AI video applications have also seen significant growth. At AWE 2025, Realtek will also showcase its innovative AI glasses solution and low-power AI Wi-Fi IP camera solution, aiming to create a more efficient and intelligent visual communication experience.

Realtek’s AI glasses solution features industry-leading, long-lasting battery performance. With its highly efficient, power-saving design, the device offers industry-leading, long-lasting battery performance, meeting users' expectations for extended use. The solution integrates multimodal vision technology with AI voice assistance, combining image recognition and voice commands from various data sources to significantly enhance system accuracy and operational flexibility. Equipped with a high-performance processor, advanced noise reduction technology, and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), it ensures smooth and stable real-time imaging with millisecond-level ultra-fast response, opening new possibilities for imaging applications.

Realtek’s low-power AI Wi-Fi IP camera solution offers an efficient and energy-saving option for smart home devices. The AMB82-mini AI Camera development board incorporates the RTL8735B SoC, featuring a 500MHz ARMv8M MCU and a 0.4 TOPS neural network engine. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, BLE 5.1, and H.264/H.265 video encoding for smooth and stable video transmission. This solution includes AI features such as facial recognition and object detection, making it ideal for smart surveillance and IoT applications. Additionally, its rich set of expansion interfaces—GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, and more—allows developers to create diverse smart applications with flexibility and accelerate time-to-market.

IoT Wi-Fi Home Theater and Ultra-Low Power Audio Solutions
The Wi-Fi Home Theater Audio Solution enables high-efficiency audio transmission over the 5GHz band using a USB dongle and wireless speakers. It supports 48 kHz / 24-bit high-resolution audio and 5.1-channel output, delivering an immersive listening experience. With audio latency under 20 milliseconds and a synchronization error below 100 microseconds, it ensures seamless alignment between visuals and sound. The plug-and-play design eliminates complex setup, enabling users to upgrade their home theater system without modifying their TV hardware. At the expo, a simulated home theater environment will be set up, offering customers a fully immersive audiovisual experience.

The Ultra-Low Power Audio Solution features AI voice recognition based on the TensorFlow Lite model, supporting Keyword Spotting (KWS), Voice Activity Detection (VAD), and Audio Front-End (AFE) functions. As an ultra-low-power Bluetooth voice SoC, it simplifies IoT voice device development, enabling efficient and energy-saving voice control solutions.

IoT Module Ecosystem Provides a Flexible Development Support Platform
Realtek has built a comprehensive IoT module ecosystem, offering SDKs and documentation via GitHub to help developers get started quickly and accelerate product development. The ecosystem supports Zephyr RTOS, VS Code extensions, and the Arduino IDE, catering to diverse development needs. Additionally, it offers AT command set firmware to simplify module control and integration. With a rich set of tools and resources, the ecosystem significantly enhances development efficiency, helping products reach the market faster.

AI Router Whole-Home Smart Solution
This year, Realtek will exhibit a dynamic demonstration of smart home applications powered by its AI Router and Extender. The Wi-Fi 7 AP/Router Solution includes the high-coverage BE7200 Router and the BE3600 AP/Extender, both supporting the latest Wi-Fi 802.11be standard. Equipped with AI tunneling technology, the solution enables dynamic bandwidth adjustment to meet high-bandwidth and low-latency demands.
A single-platform design provides flexible support for a range of performance options from the BE3600 to the BE7200. The BE7200 features a 4T5R RF architecture, enhancing wireless performance and coverage. Meanwhile, the BE3600 is the world’s first AI MESH extender equipped with patented AI Location technology, featuring an interactive interface for effortless network optimization.

Matter over Thread OTBR and Dual-Mode Bluetooth Solution for In-Vehicle Infotainment Systems
The Matter over Thread OTBR (Open Thread Border Router) solution not only enables cloud synchronization via Wi-Fi but also supports direct connection to a home AP (Access Point) through Realtek’s Ethernet port for cloud uploads. By leveraging multi-protocol wireless technology, it establishes a Thread network, serving as a crucial Matter over Thread gateway for household Thread end devices, accelerating the deployment of Matter networks. This solution can utilize a set-top box as an OpenThread border router, integrating both Wi-Fi and Thread protocols. Through the set-top box, users can control home lighting and manage Matter smart plugs via a wireless router. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates into the Google ecosystem, simplifying the adoption of smart home applications.

Realtek will also introduce a dual-mode Bluetooth solution designed for Audio, Video, and Navigation (AVN) systems, supporting BT Legacy, LE Audio, and BLE to meet the growing demand for multi-device connectivity in vehicles while enhancing the entertainment and interactive experience. This solution offers two architectural options: an external MCU and a built-in Bluetooth protocol stack, catering to different system designs. Passengers can effortlessly connect Bluetooth headsets, game controllers, and other devices, enabling wireless gaming, multimedia entertainment, and communication features—creating a smarter, more connected in-car entertainment environment.
