Realtek Charity and Sustainability Three-Year Plan

In 2024, Realtek launched the “Realtek Charity and Sustainability Three-Year Plan,” a new project aiming at giving back to the communities. This plan is structured around five main themes: the Growth of Children and Safety of Women and Children Project, Rural Education Development and Growth Care Project, Social Mutual Assistance and Benevolent Action Project, Academic Research and Social Institutions Sponsorship Project, and Realtek Visionary Future and Creativity Hope Initiative. The plan serves as the guiding principle for Realtek's philanthropic initiatives, sustainably advancing a series of Social Inclusion & Shared Prosperity programs to jointly build a warm and mutually supportive society and realizes the vision of a support network for shared prosperity.

Community Engagement & Social Initiatives

The Growth of Children and Safety of Women and Children Project

In the project series dedicated to “The Growth of Children and Safety of Women and Children Project,” Realtek focuses on and supports children, teenagers, and women who have encountered changes, faced financial difficulties, or experienced violence. Realtek hopes that within the scope of this project, it can provide proper care, education, psychological, and various forms of support to those facing these situations, ensuring they can grow and develop healthily in a safe and stable environment, and empowering them to restart and move forward! The company plans to promote the safety of women and children and family harmony through charitable donations and collaboration with social welfare organizations that focus on related issues, achieving societal stability and harmony.

♥  Sponsored the“ Striving for Progress Scholarship Program,” a ssisting a total of 100 TFCF students nationwide.

♥  Sponsored the“ Emergency Relief Program for Abused Women and Children,” providing immediate assistance to 15 women and children to help stabilize their lives.

Rural Education Development and Youth Empowerment Project

In adherence to the philosophy that a good education program takes a long time to develop, Realtek promotes its education missions and remains steadfast in its belief that education has profound influence to the sustainable development of students, society and country. Education has therefore always been one of the social welfare projects that Realtek has long attached importance to. To support education for indigenous children in Hsinchu County, Realtek provides scholarships, and assistance to four rural schools (Shih Lei Elementary School, Yu Feng Elementary School, Xin Guang Elementary School, and Hsiu Luan Elementary School) to enrich their educational resources. Long-term investment and enrichment of educational resources in remote campuses will enable children to thrive in a secure learning environment. The company also hopes that the students will continue to give back to the community and work together to promote mutual aid and love, which will lead to a positive social cycle in the country. Each year, Realtek invites all teachers and students from four indigenous schools in Hsinchu (Shih Lei Elementary School, Yu Feng Elementary School, Xin Guang Elementary School, and Hsiu Luan Elementary School) to join the vibrant and diverse Realtek Family Day event for a day of extracurricular fun and learning. This gathering is a time for joy and shared laughter. In addition, Realtek is committed to continuously supporting the “Education Support Fund for 4 Indigenous Schools.” Through this scholarship program, the company aims to expand learning opportunities and inspire students to pursue their education with diligence and enthusiasm.

♥  Continued to sponsor a total of NT$240,000 annually for the School Learning Resources Development Funds of four indigenous schools in Hsinchu County (Shihlei, Yufeng, Xiuluan, and Hsin Kwang Elementary School)

Social Mutual Assistance and Benevolent Action Project

Realtek places great importance on social care and mutual assistance, and has long been actively engaged in social welfare organizations. Through close collaboration with these organizations and experts from various sectors, Realtek leads its employees to participate in charity activities and collectively care for underprivileged groups. The social care projects highlight Realtek′ s prompt and proactive response to societal needs in 2025:

♥  Sponsored the “Fire Protection Facility Renovation Project of the Holy Family for Special Education” to create a safer and more friendly learning and living environment for people with disabilities.

♥  Sponsored the “Walk Together to Preserve Memories 2025” program of the Fr. Louis Dowd Social Welfare Foundation, with approximately 200 participants.

♥  Sponsored and adopted training facilities at the Hsinchu City Fire Training Base.

♥  Provided relief grants to the families of two brave firefighters (Wu, En-Shuo and Chang, Ching-Chien) from the New Taipei City Fire Department.

♥  Support for Chapel of Angels Catholic Foundation:

1. Supported local smallholders by participating in the “Angel Kumquat Jam” charity sale.

2. Supported the 2025 “Chapel of Angels • Spreading Love through Charity” Angel Pomelo charity sale, directing proceeds to the Saint Joseph Social Welfare Foundation for the health care and medical services of people with disabilities.

♥  Sponsored the “Shoes for Life” program of Step30 International Ministries to enable more African residents to receive medical treatment for jigger infections.

♥  Invited the Hondao Senior Citizen's Welfare Foundation, Taiwan Chu-Hsin Holistic Life Education Care Association, World Peace Association (WPA), and World Aid Association to set up booths at the crab market during Realtek’s 39th Anniversary Family Day, and donated funds to support their development.

♥  Sponsored the operations and various annual service programs of the Saint Joseph Social Welfare Foundation, Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders, Taiwan Hemophilia Society, Eden Social Welfare Foundation, Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation, and Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation. 

Academic Research and Social Institutions Sponsorship Project

The progress of a nation and society depends on the commitment to breakthroughs and development by various professional R&D institutions, which drives innovation and growth across all sectors of society and industry to the benefit of people. To this end, Realtek has systematically sponsored academic research and development activities over the years, with the aim of benefiting all parties in co-creating a sustainable and prosperous future.

♥  Sponsored the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to host the“ 2025 International VLSI Symposium on Technology, Systems and Applications (VLSI TSA), ”with a total of 831 participants.

♥  Sponsored the Taiwan IC Industry & Academia Research Alliance (TIARA) to host the“ 6^th TIARA Young Semiconductor Technology Forum,”w ith approximately 170 participants.

♥  Sponsored the Taiwan IC Design Society to host the “2025 VLSI Design/CAD Symposium,” with more than 700 participants.

♥  Sponsored the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI) to host “The 30^th International Conference on Technologies and Applications of Artificial Intelligence,” with more than 500 participants.

♥  Sponsored the Taiwan IoT Technology and Industry Association (TwIoTA) to host the “2025 RISC-V Taipei Day” event.

♥  Sponsored the NTU System Culture Foundation to promote academic development and various student exchange activities within the NTU System, with more than 2,500 participants.

♥  Sponsored the Chinese Professional Management Association of Hsinchu to support the networking and professional development of regional manager, helping to promote industry knowledge sharing and innovation in management practices.

♥  Sponsored training expenses and funding for external competitions for 40 players of the Shuangsi Elementary School basketball team in Hsinchu County.

♥  Sponsored National Taiwan University Hospital Hsinchu Branch, the Taiwan Association of Dysphagia, and the Taiwan Health Foundation for projects aimed at promoting medical development and healthcare.

♥  Co-organized a “Free Liver Health Blood Test and Abdominal Ultrasound Screening” event with the Liver Disease Prevention & Treatment Research Foundation and Lungshan Temple, providing free health screenings to 149 economically disadvantaged individuals and long-term public service volunteers.

Realtek Visionary Future and Creativity Hope Initiative

The "Realtek Visionary Future and Creativity Hope Initiative" is an action plan that focuses on and develops diverse sustainable development issues. Through this initiative, Realtek aims to systematically expand its efforts in ways that are beneficial to society and the environment, while comprehensively enhancing its competitiveness. In 2024, Realtek increased its participation in activities and initiatives that support the development of culture and the arts. With a strategic approach, Realtek collaborates with art and public welfare organizations to promote the deep-rooted growth of culture and the arts through coordinated actions, helping related organizations achieve stable development. The goal is for the promotion of culture and the arts to gradually expand and have a positive impact on the nation and society. Moreover, the learning and development of children is a continuous commitment of the "Realtek Visionary Future and Creativity Hope Initiative." Realtek aims to integrate multiple resources and foster meaningful connections, hoping to make a meaningful contribution and demonstrate our unique strengths in this crucial area of hope and development.

In addition, Realtek also focused on environmental and biodiversity issues. Through a series of educational sustainable projects, Realtek launched several action plans, such as participation in the "Old Tree Story House" and the “Happy Storyteller” event held by the OldTree Foundation.

Since 2018, On the issue of education and expanding learning opportunities, Realtek has been actively committed to a series of charitable reading projects aimed at children in rural areas. Through the initiative of delivering high-quality monthly publications to rural elementary schools, the company aims to encourage students to embrace reading, cultivate effective learning habits, and broaden their reading interests and horizons. This initiative seeksto inspire and foster comprehensive learning and development opportunities for these children. The Realtek project team also maintains ongoing communication with each school, to monitor students′ use of the educational publications. This continuous engagement helps ensure accuratefuture resource allocation and budget planning.

♥  Sponsorship of the Polar Light Percussion Group’s operations and arts promotion program:

1. Sponsored the training of musicians with disabilities, and supported the group’s operations as well as the development and promotion of arts and culture.

2. Supported Polar Light Percussion Group’s“ Sound of Love, Therefore Love: Charity Concert” tour in Southern California and Houston in the United States, featuring four performances that allowed approximately 1,250 attendees to experience the power of music.

♥  Sponsored the “Starlight Guardians Public-Interest Educational Short Play Project” of Fountain of Wisdom Theatre, organized a performance of the play“ Pandora’s Hope,” with 382 students attending and participating.

♥  Participated in the “Learning English through Theater” Program of the Caves Education, held an all-English theater performance of“ The Canterville Ghost,” with 526 employees and their children participating.

♥  Participated in the “Promoting Reading among Schoolchildren in Rural Areas” Program of the Global Views - Commonwealth, supported 40 rural elementary schools in 2025, engaging 273 classes in reading activities and benefiting 31,056 students.

♥  Participation in the Global Views - Commonwealth “Science Voyage – Popular Science Reading Initiative for Senior High and Vocational Schools” Program:

1. Supported four senior high schools in the Hsinchu area during the second half of 2025, with around 1,000 students participating in this reading initiative and the Commonwealth Publishing Popular Science Book Fairs held in school libraries.

2. Held one outcome presentation event, with about 100 teachers and students from 19 senior high schools nationwide participating and sharing their learning outcomes.

♥  Sponsored the “Love Trees Campus Co-Learning Program” of Old Tree Foundation, co-organized 33 “ Happy Storyteller" sessions in 2025, with 88 storytelling volunteers and 1,570 students participating.

♥  Sponsorship of the Renovation Project for the Maitreya Hall of the Hsinchu City God Temple.
